Note – We Do not ship out of India

Add a captivating piece of numismatic history to your collection with this vintage 10 Rupees banknote from Republic India, issued between AD 1977 and 1982. This classic banknote features the distinctive signature of I.G. Patel, one of the most renowned Governors of the Reserve Bank of India, adding significant appeal for paper money enthusiasts. Famously known among collectors as the "Black Note," this denomination showcases an iconic reverse design featuring a traditional sailing boat, symbolizing India's rich maritime heritage and economic journey during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Graded in Almost Uncirculated (Almost UNC) condition, this note retains much of its original crispness, sharp corners, and vibrant detailing, showing only very minimal signs of handling. Vintage Indian currency with the IG Patel signature is becoming increasingly scarce in higher grades, making this a prized acquisition for both novice and advanced hobbyists seeking to preserve a tangible fragment of post-independence financial legacy.
