2 Rupees Half Tiger Old Issue Governor Iyenger Rare Normally Stain Birthday Number UNC Note

Description

This rare 2 Rupees Half Tiger note represents a significant piece of Indian numismatic history, issued under Governor Iyenger's tenure. Graded UNC (Uncirculated), this specimen showcases exceptional preservation with minimal handling marks, making it a prized addition to any serious collection. The note features the iconic tiger motif, a symbol of India's natural heritage and colonial-era currency design. What makes this particular piece especially desirable is its birthday number—a fancy serial combination highly sought by collectors for both historical value and aesthetic appeal. The absence of typical staining and wear indicates careful storage over decades. Iyenger-signed notes from this period are increasingly difficult to locate, particularly in such pristine condition. This convergence of rarity, grade, historical significance, and the coveted birthday number makes it an exceptional investment for collectors of Indian currency and those fascinated by pre-independence monetary artifacts.
