786 FANCY NUMBER 5 RUPEES GOVERNOR BIMAL JALAN RARE UNC (100 NOTE ) SERIAL PACKET (Copy)

Description

This is an exceptionally rare 5 Rupees banknote featuring the distinctive "786" fancy number—a highly coveted serial in numismatic circles. Issued under Governor Bimal Jalan's tenure at the Reserve Bank of India, this note represents a significant piece of Indian currency history. The fancy number 786 holds special significance in Islamic culture, making it particularly sought after by collectors worldwide. The note is in pristine Uncirculated (UNC) condition, preserving its original crispness, vibrant colors, and sharp details. The "100 NOTE SERIAL PACKET" designation indicates this is part of a complete series, adding substantial collectible value. Governor Bimal Jalan's signature on the note (RBI Governor from 1997-2003) further enhances its historical importance during a pivotal period of India's economic liberalization. What makes this specimen truly remarkable is the combination of the lucky "786" fancy number with its uncirculated state—most notes of this era show circulation wear. Collectors prize fancy numbers, especially sequences like 786, as they're considerably scarcer than regular serial numbers. This note transcends mere currency; it's a tangible artifact of India's monetary heritage and a sound investment piece for serious numismatists and currency enthusiasts seeking authentication and rarity. --- #
