Edward VII's reign was brief, and his Indian coinage is correspondingly compact — which makes it one of the more achievable British India series to complete. The portrait is distinctive and the run of dates is short enough that a date-and-denomination set is a realistic project rather than a lifetime one.
Because the series is small, many collectors use it as a way into British India before tackling the much longer Victoria and George V runs.
