This exceptional Billion Jital represents a remarkable piece of medieval Indian numismatic history from the Delhi Sultanate era. Minted during the reign of Shams al-din Iltumish (1210-1235 AD), one of Delhi's most influential sultans, this coin was struck at the Badaun mint—a relatively scarce mint location that adds significant collector appeal. The coin showcases authentic Islamic coinage characteristics with Arabic inscriptions on the obverse reading "Shams wa'al-dunya iltumish al-sultan" (The Sun and the World, Iltumish the Sultan) and features a crude yet historically authentic horseman motif on the reverse. Weighing 3.60 grams with a diameter of 12.64mm, this Billion Jital exemplifies the monetary standards of the Sultanate period. Graded in Extremely Fine condition, the coin displays excellent preservation with clear strike details and minimal wear, making it a superior example for serious collectors. The rarity of the Badaun mint issue, combined with its historical significance and outstanding condition, makes this a highly desirable acquisition. Iltumish's reign marked a pivotal transformation in Indian history, establishing the Delhi Sultanate's foundations. For numismatists and history enthusiasts, this coin offers tangible connection to a transformative medieval period. #
