Description

A small hand-struck silver coin of the medieval Indian Sultanate period, measuring about 19.7 mm across an irregular, slightly oval flan. Both faces carry bold multi-line legends in Arabic style script within a beaded border, struck a little off centre so that parts of the outer legend run past the edge of the flan. The ruler's name, mint and Hijri date cannot be read with certainty from the surviving letters.
