This exceptional 2-note set from the Malaya Straits Settlements features rare George VI currency from 1941, comprising a 10 Cent and 1 Cent note. Issued during a pivotal moment in Southeast Asian history, these notes represent an important chapter in colonial numismatic heritage. The George VI series is particularly sought after by serious collectors due to its historical significance and relative scarcity—especially in well-preserved condition. Each denomination showcases detailed engraving and period-appropriate security features characteristic of 1940s currency production. This set appeals to collectors specializing in British colonial currencies, Asian numismatics, and wartime-era banknotes. The 1941 date adds particular value, as production during this year was limited due to global circumstances. Perfect for the discerning collector who appreciates rarity and historical provenance.
