Nickel Brass Metal OMS Error Coin 20 Rupees 2020 Kolkata Mint Coin Rare

Description

This is a 20 Rupees commemorative coin from 2020, minted at the prestigious Kolkata Mint. The standout feature is the OMS (Off-Metal Strike) error, making this a genuine numismatic rarity that collectors actively seek. Composed of nickel brass, this coin represents a unique minting anomaly—when the planchet material differs from the intended specification, creating a distinct piece that deviates from standard production. OMS error coins are increasingly scarce and valued by serious collectors for their authenticity and limited circulation. This particular specimen from the Kolkata Mint's 2020 production run captures a moment of manufacturing variation that elevates its collectible status. Error coins hold special appeal because they're unpredictable finds that can't be deliberately reproduced, making each example truly one-of-a-kind. Ideal for numismatists and error coin enthusiasts, this 20 Rupees piece combines historical significance with rarity, offering both investment potential and intrigue for collectors seeking authentic minting anomalies.
