This exceptional 1 Rupee silver coin originates from the Princely State of Hyderabad, minted during the reign of Mir Osman Ali Khan (ruled 1911-1948), one of India's most influential rulers. Struck between 1941-1946 (Islamic calendar 1360-1365), this piece represents a significant chapter in pre-independence Indian numismatics. Composed of 50% silver with a substantial weight of 11.1780 grams and diameter of 30mm, the coin showcases masterful milled craftsmanship with medal alignment. As a historical artifact from the twilight years of princely state autonomy, this coin carries considerable collector appeal.
