Description
A silver Quarter Rupee dated 1840, struck by the East India Company in the name of Queen Victoria. The obverse shows her young, uncrowned head with the continuous legend VICTORIA QUEEN; the reverse carries 1/4 RUPEE with the Persian legend inside a wreath, EAST INDIA COMPANY around and the date below.
