This is a British India 1 Anna coin of 1946, issued during the reign of King George VI. The scalloped nickel-brass flan carries the crowned bust with the legend "GEORGE VI KING EMPEROR" on the obverse, while the reverse shows the large numeral 1 with "INDIA" and "ONE ANNA" in English, Hindi and Urdu around the date.
