Rare Mughal Empire silver coin of rupee module, struck with Persian calligraphic legends on both faces in the traditional hammered style of Islamic India. The obverse carries the kalima or ruler's titles in flowing nastaliq script within a partial beaded border, while the reverse shows the mint and regnal formula laid out diagonally with floral and dotted ornaments. Portions of the legend run off the flan, as is normal for hand-struck Mughal issues, so the ruler's name, mint name and Hijri date cannot be read with certainty from the scan.
