A silver One Rupee of 1835 issued by the East India Company bearing the bust of William IIII King.
Description
An attractive silver One Rupee of 1835 struck for the East India Company, carrying the right-facing bust of William IIII with the legend "WILLIAM IIII KING" on the obverse. The reverse shows the value "ONE RUPEE" in English with the Persian legend below, enclosed within a laurel wreath and surrounded by "EAST INDIA COMPANY", with the date 1835 at the foot.
