This is an exceptional commemorative 10 Baht coin issued by Thailand in 2011 (Thai year 2554) under the reign of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX). Minted to celebrate the centenary of Thailand's Fine Arts Department, this circulating commemorative piece represents an important cultural milestone in Thai history. The coin features a distinctive bimetallic composition—an aluminium bronze centre encased in a copper-nickel ring—making it visually striking and durable for everyday circulation. Weighing 8.5 grams with a 26mm diameter, it was produced using the milled technique with medal alignment. This coin holds special significance for numismatists and Thai history enthusiasts alike. Commemorative coins are inherently collectible, and this piece captures a pivotal moment celebrating Thailand's commitment to preserving and promoting fine arts and cultural heritage. Its bimetallic construction adds technical interest, while its association with Rama IX—one of the world's longest-reigning monarchs—enhances its historical value. As Thailand's Fine Arts Department played a crucial role in safeguarding the nation's artistic traditions, this coin serves as a tangible tribute to that legacy. Perfect for both serious collectors and those beginning their numismatic journey. --- #
